Introducing Mary

Welcome to my web site.  I would like to tell you a little about myself. I write under my name, Mary Brunini McArdle, and produce art work under the name M. Beatrice. I have been seriously writing for years, beginning as a poet. A teacher once told me writing poetry gives one a command of language; from there one can learn to write fiction. My first attempts weren’t so great, but now I am publishing fiction and winning prizes.

I have a degree in History with a minor in English from the University of Dallas and continuing or graduate courses in English, History, Military Strategy, Marine Education, and Art. Love animals, especially cats.

I love color pencil and watercolor pencil art and designing handmade doll clothes. Also proud of my publication credits, especially those in COMBAT MAGAZINE. Unusual for a girl to specialize in Military History, don’t you think? Of course I am long past being a “girl.”

My new book reads like a mystery, with danger to the female protagonist increasing every step of the way. The story is set in Central Mississippi with brief interludes in Omaha and ends in Memphis.
