Writing a Novel

Someone asked me if it was tedious writing a novel.  Not in a million years.  It is the most exciting thing I have ever done and I have written three.  It is like living in another world that is just as real as the one you are really in.  It is sad to finish a novel and have that other world come to an end.  Often the characters name themselves and take action by themselves, which is amazing.  They show the author how to make the plot move in the right direction.  The author can call upon his characters for help if the plot bogs down.   And like poetry, fiction can sometimes choose its own ending.
